ArcelorMittal Tubarão places a priority on valuing people, which is one of the guiding principles in the philosophy of human resources. This guideline fosters personal growth and leads to greater satisfaction, helping to improve the workplace environment.
Since the Organizational Climate is the collective perception the employees have of an organization's practices, policies and values, and also the existing levels of motivation and credibility, ArcelorMittal Tubarão firmly believes in the high correlation between climate, job satisfaction and quality, and worker performance and subsequent increases in productivity.
In order to managed, the organizational behavior must be measured, and so, ArcelorMittal Tubarão has been analyzing this climate since 1996, in partnership with Hay do Brasil.
From the results of the Global Action Plan Survey for the Company there is the formulation and implementation of Sectoral Plans for the several areas of the company aiming to make viable the improvements pointed out in the survey.
In 2003 ArcelorMittal Tubarão was placed 1st in the ranking of Brazilian companies with an index of 73% among the companies surveyed by Hay do Brasil. In 2004 ArcelorMittal Tubarão achieved the best result in its history with a record approval index of 79%, holding its position as the leader in the market.
In 2006 ArcelorMittal Tubarão was awarded the World Class Management Award - 1st in the category "Change and Integration Agility Award" in the Organizational Climate Management rank of Hay do Brasil.
ArcelorMittal Tubarão receives from Hay Group on March 26 2007 the award 'Engaged Performance' in the Innovation Culture category for its excellence in organizational climate management. (2005/2006)
