Maintenance at ArcelorMittal Tubarão aims to maintain Production and Auxiliary Equipment, Methods and People reliability to keep operational stability.

For such, it is a process based on four pillars:

  • Equipment Inspection
  • Planning, scheduling and control
  • Maintenance by set
  • Execution

All strongly supported by the Maintenance Engineering.

Area maintenance performs the management of the equipment including predictability, planning, scheduling and control of the change of sets.

The central workshops perform the maintenance of the sets, parts manufacturing and the management of partnerships with:

  • Maintenance companies specialized in sets, such as gear drives, motors, hydraulic cylinders, transformers and other;
  • Companies to change sets during schedule shutdown;
  • Companies specialized in the maintenance of metallic structures, civil engineering, acoustical and thermal insulation, fire fighting systems, CCTV and telephone, lifts and others;

Ensuring the performance of the sets in the operational areas, through personnel qualification in the ABRAMAN’s PNQC and certified management such as ISO 9001 and Prodfor.

Methods and Systems as the Maintenance Management System – SISMANA, the Plant Information Management – PIMS and a strong system of operational standards thus through Predictability and Reduction of Variability the Maintenance area contributes to the operational stability and longevity of ArcelorMittal Tubarão.
