The main objective of the Environmental Communication Program is to contribute with educational initiatives which promote environmental education through integration actions with Institutions of Higher Education involved, known as privileged spaces to promote the development of environmental awareness. The Program aims at contributing to multiply ArcelorMittal Tubarão values related to Sustainability, by encouraging Environmental Education and Scientific Production.
Since 1997 the program has been developed in partnership with public and private Schools and Institutions of Higher Education from Vitória and Metropolitan Area, the Environmental Communication Program strengthens the interaction between the company and society and promotes better quality of life. Made viable through two-year-long agreements, the Program consists of activities and pedagogic projects developed in schools and facilities of the Environmental Education Center (CEAM).
